Dude who the fuck is Jessie J??? I’m heareing about her EVERYWHERE nowadays!! Is she even good?
I mean, good is relative. She’s a decent pop singer and songwriter whose made it pretty big in Britain over the last few months, but I don’t know that I’d call her...

Zach Galifianakis/Jessie J Added to SNL's March...
It has been confirmed that Zach Galifianakis will host SNL March 12, marking his second appearance on the show. He will be joined by British pop sensation Jessie J who will be making her debut US TV appearance on the show. Jessie J recently had her first British number 1 with the single, “Price Tag” and will be hoping to repeat her success Stateside. Galifianakis, meanwhile, will be...

my vote goes to Justin…
I was genuinely surprised when he wasn’t selected this year, in light of The Social Network and everything. In terms of being an all-round entertainer, Timberlake would seem to suit the Oscars perfectly. By this time next year, he’ll have really launched himself as a film star though with Bad...
Desirable Oscar hosts 2012 -
Jimmy Kimmel
Robert Downey Jr.
Justin Timberlake
Kathy Griffin
I really do think that Kimmel is someone they ought to consider, though. His sensibility is a happy medium between snarky and silly and he seems fairly popular amongst Hollywood circles. Just an idea.

Where do you get your news? Not a single trade has posted either this or the SNL/Elton John story yet.
Gary Winick’s death was reported by a blogger on Twitter and picked up by IFC and The Hollywood Reporter reported the SNL/Elton John story.

I agree. She needed a stronger hosting partner to counter her loveliness and earnestness and Franco just didn’t deliver what was needed to make the partnership work.

Have you seen the King’s Speech or is the Social Network the only film you’ve seen this year.
Well, excuse yourself, but I saw all ten nominees this year, some of them multiple times. And most of them featured more impressive and innovative direction than The King’s Speech,...

Have you even seen The King’s Speech? It was pretty fanfuckingtastic.
Of course I’ve seen The King’s Speech and while it’s a good film, its brilliance lies in its performances and writing, not in the direction, which was fairly by-the-numbers and lacked any directorial stamp on his part. When compared to Aronofksy, Fincher and Coens who each created entire worlds...

incredibly disappointing. i hope this isn’t a harbinger for best picture.
I imagine it is. I doubt the proposed Best Picture/Director split went the way of The Social Network. I imagine we’re in a for night of The King’s Speech.

Still think The Social Network doesn’t have a chance?
I still think that The King’s Speech will win Best Picture, while The Social Network will win Best Director.
